AUTOMATA’S PAS56 SERIES OF DOCUMENTS


In the wake of the recent Civil Contingencies Act, interest in PAS 56 has grown as people begin to look for guidance on BCM.

There is now an explanatory document available which provides a good introduction to the British Standards Institute’s ‘Guide to Business Continuity’. Specially prepared by the training and professional services divisions of Automata, this ‘Overview of PAS56’ covers the salient points of this publicly available specification. It gives everyone a chance to know what to expect for their money.

The Automata team have also developed a benchmarking tool which takes a rather more searching look at PAS56 for those engaged in implementing its recommendations. This will also be available as a free download 15/2/05.
