Content
Through an enjoyable combination of case studies, exercises, group work and presentations during this interactive course we will cover the key provisions of British Standard 25999 Code of Practice for Business Continuity Management and the 10 international certification standards of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI). We will also explore the BS 25999 "lifecycle" components, Programme Initiation and Management; Business Impact Analysis; Risk Evaluation and Control; Developing Business Continuity Management Strategies; Emergency Response and Operations; Developing and Implementing Business Continuity and Crisis Management Plans; Awareness and Training Programmes; Maintaining and Exercising Plans; Crisis Communications; Coordination with External Agencies.
In addition to the above core topics, we will review many other business continuity issues such as pandemics, BS PAS 77 IT Service Continuity and the UK Civil Contingencies Act.
NB: To thoroughly review BS 25999 in extra depth and detail, we would strongly recommend that you stay for a 3rd day and take Automata’s BS 25999 EXTRA” course.
Venue
This exclusive Masterclass is held at Whittlebury Hall in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. The centre features a swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym. Lecturer Practitioners
Either Garry Poole or Jim Burtles will lead yourself and other delegates though this highly informative Masterclass. Both Garry and Jim are Fellows of the BCI, were founder members of the Institute and have worked with major organisations across the globe. Garry was a UK Business Continuity Manager of the Year (Corporate Insurance & Risk Magazine) and subsequently global BCM director of a major telecommunications company. Jim served as BCI standards officer for six years and is currently an elected BCI Board member.

Accommodation
Accommodation and meals may be booked at our conference centre for before, during and after the course to suit your convenience. This should be done through Automata at the same time as you make your course booking. Fees are as follows:
